Akaloo is lifelong faith formation for the whole family—children, youth, and adults. The name Akaloo is inspired by the Greek word ακολουΘειν : akolouthein (“to follow”). Jesus said to his disciples, “Follow me.” Drop your nets. A new life awaits you.

Discipleship is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor, so Akaloo brings a "stage-specific" approach to faith formation. The program is organized by age group—Children, Youth, and Adults—with each stage focusing on five areas or units of discipleship: Bible, God, Disciple, Church, and World. Everyone is united behind a single theme: We are called to follow Jesus.
Since discipleship is a group activity, Akaloo is designed to bring people together to follow Jesus as his body. Each Akaloo unit features intergenerational kick-off events and other opportunities along the way, including Akaloo life groups based in the home.
Learning can take place in and out of church, any day of the week. Church and home are connected. Individual and community are connected. Old and young are connected. Disciples of all ages walk with Jesus together.
Answers stop a conversation—questions keep it alive. With Akaloo, disciples grow through age-appropriate questions that increase in complexity and repeat across the lifespan: "Who is God's Son?" "How can my family help others?" "What is God calling me to become?" Each Akaloo lesson responds to these questions, offering further questions and continued growth.
